This is my second review, so if you want lots of detail, take a look at my first review of the Polynesian. My friends and I just took a three day trip over Labor Day weekend, and had a very enjoyable stay. The staff was friendly. The outdoor water park’s water was too chilly, but we had no complaints about the wonderful indoor water park. As I’ve said in other reviews, you can obviously go to many fancier, more advanced, resorts in The Dells, but for the incredible value, The Polynesian Resort is a perfect place to stay with friends or family.
Our family had a wonderful vacation here. Our rooms were updated and clean. The pools were fun and exciting. There were lifeguards at every location giving wonderful supervision. We would definitely go back again! The staff were friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect as well. It was quiet in the evening allowing us to relax and just enjoy being in the moment with our family.
At first there was a mix up with our reservations on their part. They had great customer service they went above and beyond to fix the issue. Awesome manager and front desk service. Indoor waterpark wonderful. Pool and spa was nice but lots of chlorine. Outside waterpark wasn’t open yet :(. Rooms was wonderful and clean.
For the price, you can’t beat this. I have 3 kids 9-15 and a hubby. Had a King and pull out sofa. Without the water park the hotel is old but clean and room is laid out well. The water park is awesome. Two lazy rivers, indoor and outdoor slides, two indoor water park / pools, so much we couldn’t do it all in an evening. It is older and appears the hotel as to pick and choose what to maintain but for the price I was very pleased.
It had been 30 years since we last were here when our kids were little. This hotel was the start of the water parks in the Dells, and it still holds up if you know what to expect. We decided to take our daughter and grand kids here after closing our trailer up in October. We weren’t sure what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and the rooms seemed to have been updated recently and the pool areas were clean. This is a good choice for kids probably up to the age of 12. Our young grand kids did not know we spent $60 for the night instead of $250 at one of the mega-water hotels. For the money you really can’t go wrong here.
We spent one night at the Polynesian with great grandchildren and had a wonderful time. The play area is perfect for young children. We had a problem with one of our rooms and it was addressed and we were given a new room. The front desk was very helpful and courteous.
The hotel is not new but our room was clean and in good order.
