From May through early September, Wisconsin Dells visitors can get a glimpse of real-life lumberjack competitions at Paul Bunyan’s Northwoods Lumberjack Show. If you’re vacationing at Polynesian Water Park Resort between late May and early September, you must set aside some time to check out this attraction, coined the “Greatest Show on H2O.” Kicking off its 68th season in 2020, the Tommy Bartlett Show features a range of breathtaking tricks on the water, on stage, and in the air! Each show lasts 90 minutes and includes a combination of elements, including water-skiing, boat stunts, and comedy routines.
The water show’s sister experience is the Tommy Bartlett Exploratory, which offers guests the chance to interact with a variety of scientific exhibits, such as the Mercury Space Capsule, High Wire Skycycle, and Virtual Sports Center. This Wisconsin Dells “Odditorium” features a range of oddities and items, such as puzzling illusions, interactive galleries, and mysterious Egyptian-themed cavernous tunnels. Nestled along N115 County Road N, the Riverside & Great Northern Railway experience includes both an interactive railroad riding experience, as well as a living history museum dedicated to the preservation and operation of locomotive and passenger cars built by the Sandley Light Railway Equipment Works between 1950 and 1980. Guests can ride live steam trains through picturesque canyons and wooded areas that meander along the Dells of the Wisconsin River. There’s also a Museum Store onsite that includes a range of railroad memorabilia and other souvenirs.
